Job Summary

We are seeking a commercially minded and analytically strong Strategic Market and Investment Analyst to support the strategic growth and investment planning of our wearable technology and industrial sensing businesses.

This role is ideal for a recent or early-career MBA graduate looking to work directly with the executive team of a growing deeptech company. The successful candidate will contribute to market analysis, strategic commercial planning, and preparation of materials to support investment, growth opportunities, and potential business structuring decisions.

Dimensions

The position covers corporate strategy, market intelligence, and investment support across two key areas: advanced wearable sensing technologies in health applications, and scalable sensing platforms in industrial markets.

You will work closely with product, commercial, and leadership teams to develop clear, evidence-based roadmaps and ensure the business is well positioned for external engagement with investors, strategic partners, and commercial customers.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • MBA or similar postgraduate qualification in business, finance, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modelling, market research, or strategy development.
  • Effective communicator, capable of preparing board-level documents and supporting investor engagement.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple workstreams and deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Clear interest in the intersection of technology, healthcare, and industrial markets.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a strategy, investment, consulting, or commercial analyst role.
  • Exposure to hardware technologies, medical devices, or industrial technologies.
  • Familiarity with B2B business models, licensing structures, or partnerships.
  • Understanding of key technology and innovation trends in healthcare or industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Market Development

  • Support the development of mid to long-term commercial and investment plans across core product areas.
  • Prepare market sizing analyses, competitive landscape reports, and opportunity assessments.
  • Build business cases for strategic growth options, partnerships, and future commercial models.

Investment and Commercial Support

  • Develop high-quality presentation materials for investor meetings, commercial discussions, and internal decision-making.
  • Construct financial models to support budgeting, valuation scenarios, and commercial planning.
  • Provide input to corporate planning processes, including pitch decks and briefing documents.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with commercial and technical teams to align product development with market trends.
  • Help structure and present internal data on markets, revenue forecasts, and competitor intelligence.
  • Contribute to the organisation’s understanding of relevant sectors and emerging technologies.
